CARSON, CA, CA, UNITED STATES, August 6, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- . On Saturday, August 22, the community will come together to celebrate, support, and invest in them at the 3rd Annual Urban Educators Expo.Hosted by Transitions 2 Success, the free Educator Appreciation & Resource Experience will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Carson Community Center. More than 200 educators, school professionals, higher education representatives, community organizations, and education partners from across Southern California are expected to attend.
Now in its third year, the Urban Educators Expo continues to grow as a community initiative dedicated to supporting the professionals who shape the next generation. More than 30 exhibitors and community partners will offer valuable resources, engaging presentations, financial wellness information, educator wellness experiences, networking opportunities, giveaways, and practical tools designed to support educators both personally and professionally.
Built on the belief that Educator Wellness is Student Wellness, the Expo exists to celebrate, restore, equip, and empower educators through wellness, professional growth, strategic partnerships, resource connection, and community collaboration.
"The Urban Educators Expo is built on one simple belief: Educator Wellness is Student Wellness," said Karen Glenn, Founder and Executive Director of Transitions 2 Success. "When educators are celebrated, equipped, and supported personally and professionally, the impact extends far beyond the classroom. Stronger educators help create stronger schools, stronger communities, and brighter futures for our students."
Designed around four guiding pillars—Celebrate, Connect, Equip, and Inspire—the Expo offers an experience that goes beyond traditional professional development. Attendees will explore educator wellness and self-care, financial wellness resources, leadership development, innovative educational tools, community partnerships, networking opportunities, educator appreciation experiences, and interactive exhibits.
This year's Expo is made possible through a growing coalition of education, nonprofit, business, and community partners committed to supporting those who support our students. Confirmed partners include Metro, SchoolsFirst Federal Credit Union, CSUDH College of Continuing & Professional Education, Athleta, Carson Compass, Inland Valley News, Single Moms Society, and numerous additional organizations.
"Our vision extends beyond a single event," Glenn added. "We're working to create a future where every educator feels valued, connected, and equipped to thrive because when educators flourish, students, schools, and communities flourish alongside them."
